Proposition 7: Alter the Tolling Rules

Currently, teams may toll contracts on players who experience season-ending injuries early on in the season. Though this is a nice insurance policy to have, it is not realistic. In the NFL, if a player tears his ACL, it is unfortunate but the team does not get compensated. The only instance of a contract toll is if a player is suspended for the season (see Martavis Bryant), or if a player takes a leave of absence (see Su'a Cravens). Both situations are rare. It is my belief that this league, and all dynasties, should be run as similar to the league that it mimics. 

So, this proposition would alter the tolling rules, eliminating the option to toll a player's contract if he does not meet the minimum amount of games played in a season. As it currently is:

• A player must be active for at least 6 games in order to exceed his rookie status
• A player must be active for at least 3 games in order to have that contract year count

My proposition:

• A player must not have been active for a single game that season in order to qualify for a tolled contract year

This is a tough one. This is going to sound like nip-picking but I think 2 games is the sweet spot.

For me I've always disliked the rule as all it does is prevents healthy FA turnover and we already have a bunch of ways for players to be extended.
