Draft Picks:
1st Round (Pick 17): Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama. Love this pick!!! Needed a young LB. Passed on Josh Allen even though I needed a QB. I hate Josh Allen. Haha
1st Round (Pick 40): Harold Landry, LB/EDR, Boston College. I know, another Titans LB. I traded away multiple picks to get the LB I wanted. P.S. Still hate Josh Allen.
2nd Round (Pick 50): Chase Edmonds, RB, Fordham U. Was never high enough in the draft to get a starting RB but I think I got the best backup. Should get me some decent carries. Depending on David Johnson’s health.
3rd Round: Sadly no picks 😔.
4th Round (Pick 129): TBD. We will see. Update: Auden Tate, WR, FSU. With no proven WR behind AJ Green and no healthy TE, a 6’5 WR has a chance to shine I think.
2018 Acquisitions:
Tavon Wilson, S, Lions. Needed another S. Not the one I wanted but should put up some numbers for me and pair well with Duron Harmon and Johnathan Cyprien.
Mike Wallace, WR, Eagles. Hands down my WRs suck. I only have him for a year but he should give me numbers none of my 2017 Recievers produced.
Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Patriots. Another WR that I wanted. I think the Pats will use him in multiple ways.
Brandon Marshall, WR, Seahawks. Eh. A toss up.
Daquan Jones, DT, Titans. Had a career year in 2017 before his injury cost him his last 6 games. Pairing him with Kawann Short and Adolphus Washington gives me a really strong DT group.
Carlos Dunlap, DE, Bengals. Always liked him as a player. Couldn’t pass on the chance to get him. With rumors swirling of my 2nd round pick from last years draft (Jordan Willis) taking over a starting position opposite Dunlap, this gives me starters on a good defense. Or so I hope. Haha
Jason Verrett, CB, Chargers. With Jimmy Smith coming back from a torn ACL, I’m hoping Verrett finally gets healthy. A top corner when healthy and former Pro Bowler. Let’s hope he finally gets back on the field for a whole season.
DJ Hayden, CB, Jaguars. Starting NB for the Jags. Basically a plug and play if one of my starters gets injured or on bye weeks.
Bryce Petty, QB, Dolphins. When you have no QB on your team you take a chance on anyone. That’s what I did.
Rhett Ellison, TE, Giants. Caught 24 catches last year. Basically a fill in for Austin Hooper for the bye week.
Tyler Matakevich, LB, Steelers. With Shazier injured, I expect Matakevich will at least have a chance to start. But you never know. I took a chance.
Aaron Lynch, LB, Bears. Had him last year. Young player who is penciled in as the starter for the Bears. We will see but I think if he can go a season without being injured he should give me some good numbers as well.
Deonte Thompson, WR, Cowboys. My leading receiver from last year returns. Haha. Don’t think he will replicate what he did in 2017, but gives me a chance on another WR.
Biggest Needs:
QB. Obviously the biggest hole in my roster. Tried unsuccessfully trading up to get a QB this year not named Josh Allen (yes another dig at Allen). But who can pass up the prestige of Bryce Petty and Brad Kayaa 😂.
WR. Was hoping to trade up for Deon Cain this year (Damn You David!!!!). For this year I think I’ll be ok. But in 2019... No Bueno.
RB. I have Davonte Freeman, who I love, but need another contributor. I wasted my Pick on Perine (😩) last year so it remains a need. With the convoluted backfield which is the Raiders, Washington will never get enough touches. Hoping Edmonds at least gets me something more than the other RBs not named Freeman on my team.
TE. Low in the list but depending on how Hooper progresses this could also be a need.
