Thanks to all GMs for voting on the eight propositions for 2019. Here are the final results.
PROPOSITION #1: Move scoring site from ESPN to MFL. - Approved (16 to 8)
This proposition would provide direction to League Management to move Blitz Central Dynasty's fantasy football host site and scoring system to MFL vs. the current ESPN sites. We will move to MFL for the 2019 season. We are working on the new MFL site right now and will be sending invitations out to all soon.
PROPOSITION #2: Under the Salary Cap - Approved (22 to 2)
This proposition would require that, all teams must be under the salary cap for the upcoming year by the start of the NFL League Year in Mid-March and all teams must remain under the cap for the remainder of the season. League Management will publish the specific date annually once the date is determined by the NFL.
Violating teams would be subject to penalties as outlined in the rules Will go into effect for the 2020 season.
PROPOSITION #3: Change Free Agency Bidding System - Approved (21 to 2)
This proposition would replace the current Blitz free agency bidding system outlined with multiplier/point system also outlined below used by many 32 team leagues. This bidding system will be in effect for 2019 Free starting next week.
PROPOSITION #4: Eliminate Comp Picks for players lost in Free Agency. - Defeated (9 to 16)
This proposition would have eliminated the Compensation Pick system currently in effect in Blitz.
PROPOSITION #5: Reduce annual Compensation Picks to Top Players only. - Approved (22 to 3)
Approval of this rule will substantially reduce Compensation Picks for the 2020 season based on the revised formula.
PROPOSITION #6: Eliminate Kicker position. - Defeated (7 to 18)
This proposition would have eliminated Place Kickers from the lineup in Blitz.
PROPOSITION #7 – Revise Franchise Tag System - Approved (21 to 3)
Approval of this proposition will revise the current Franchise Tag system to a new Franchise Tag system using the average salary for the top 5 salaries at each position. This rule will take effect for the 2020 season.
PROPOSITION #8: Change one LB spot to Edge Rusher spot. - Defeated (5 to 19)
This proposition would have added one position of EDGE rusher to the defensive lineup for 2019 in place of one of the three Linebacker spots.
